Bottom part - quick way of opening new tab

Hello, in upper part, there is “New Tab“ button, on the bottom toolbar, there is “+“ menu where i can click and then choose New Chat/Space/Tab. Thats fine. But can on the bottom part be a quicker solution how to open tab with mouse? At least via some settings switcher? E.g.: doubleclick on the free space after the last tab → open new tab having “New tab“ on the bottom below the last tab → with this solution the upper “New tab“ button can disappear → and all my tabs will move up → i can fit there more tabs on the screen. it can be also on the bottom toolbar - now I need there two clicks - clicking”+” sign and then choose from the menu - quicker solution without hiding “new tab” functionality in the menu would be really handy. Becaus ehow many times people are clicking “New chat“ or “New space”? I guess not that often as new tab. Thanks for considering it. I really like your extension! Radek

ARC Refugee here

ARC died a horrible death after they started Dia. Now Dia - never got it right - and they’re crashing and burning. Sad really. I guess Surf is going along with them. Comet, so far, is the only one that got it right … Even Atlas has glitches. But Comet, for some reason, hates side panels for browsing. Enter Side Space. AWESOME!! Side Panels!! AI Organization!! 🧠 Bulk “Smart Bookmarks” Manager (TabXpert-style)

Summary Add a panel to bulk organize, move, and clean up tabs/bookmarks/spaces—similar to TabXpert’s sessions UI—using Side Space’s existing labels/tags with nesting and collapse. Problem Standard bookmarks and one-by-one actions don’t scale for managing large working sets of tabs/spaces. Proposal A dedicated Bookmarks/Spaces Manager that supports: Multi-select across tabs, groups, and spaces. Drag-and-drop between folders/spaces; list reordering. Bulk actions: move, merge, delete, rename, archive, export/import. Labels & tags: reuse Side Space’s existing labeling/tagging system; enable batch apply/remove and filter by label/tag. Nesting & collapse: hierarchical folders/spaces with collapse/expand and hover-peek. Session tools: “Save current session,” restore windows + tab order, snapshot history. 🔄 Sync already-open tabs across Chrome + Dia (“smart bookmarks”)

Ask Import current windows/tabs into a Space and keep it in sync across browsers/profiles (Chrome ↔ Dia). Save/restore sessions (windows, tab order) in any browser. Deduplicate duplicates/conflicts and add optional auto-save Why I use Chrome + Dia and want a faster, smarter alternative to bookmarks to move work between browsers. Blocker (can’t test in Dia) Side Space currently doesn’t work in Dia, so I can’t log in there to enable cross-browser sync. Please add Dia compatibility and login support.

Allow other options to Create an Account

Please provide other options for creating an account and not limit it to a Google or GitHub account. Limiting to just those two is pretty much the only reason I haven’t signed up yet. A few coworkers of mine also feel the same way; some have signed up using a junk account or a Google account specifically for sites that only offer Google registration. Need an option to just use an email that does not have to be associated with Google or GitHub, or any other service/site. Just a plain old email & password registration PLEASE Thanks

Tabs that have been suspended are all grouped under the ID of the tab-suspender chrome extension

Heyup, First of all, congratulations on a great extension that is instantly one of the best vertical tab extensions out there. This said, one glaring issue I have with it, which makes it unusable, is that it groups all suspended tabs under the under a group with the name “chrome-extension:// ”. This is obviously undesirable behaviour from a user perspective. As a veteran coder, I think it should be fairly trivial to identify these suspended tabs and instead group on original URL, not the suspended URL. Cheers and keep up the progress! Pete

Assistance Needed with License Activation and Tab Group Issues in Side Space

Hi Side Space Support Team, I'm reaching out regarding a few issues I've encountered with Side Space, and I would appreciate your assistance in resolving them: Tab Group Duplication Bug When I select a registered group tab in the workspace and choose “Switch” → “Open in current window,” Chrome starts creating an unlimited number of new tab groups instead of opening the existing one. This seems to cause continuous duplication of tab groups. License Upgrade Confirmation I recently paid for an upgrade. Where can I verify that my account is actually using the upgraded version? Is there a way to clearly confirm the upgrade status? License Key Activation Issue I purchased the lifetime license and entered the license key under the “Register License” section in settings. However, there was no confirmation, and the field still prompts me to enter the key again, even after submitting it. Dashboard Visibility Problem Although I used the same email address for both the license purchase and my Side Space account, the license does not appear in the License Management dashboard. It seems my account is not recognizing the license I purchased. Could you please guide me on how to fix these issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Best regards,

Collapse the vertical tab bar, uncollapse on hover

Implement a feature to collapse the vertical tab manager into a smaller vertical bar that displays only the space icons. When the user moves the mouse over this smaller vertical bar, it should automatically expand to show the full tab manager, with the space corresponding to the hovered icon. Benefits: Space Efficiency: Saves screen space by minimizing the tab manager when not in use. Quick Access: Allows users to quickly access and switch between tabs by hovering over the icons. Improved Navigation: Enhances user experience by providing a seamless transition between collapsed and expanded states.
